Residents may drop off automotive batteries, rechargeable batteries and button batteries at the Ocean County Northern or Southern Recycling centers. Some municipalities also accept these items. Please check your local public works office for more information.

(The County no longer accepts non-rechargeable dry-cell batteries such as AA, AAA, C, D or 9 Volts. These are to be discarded with your regular trash.) Go to http://www.co.ocean.nj.us/recycle for further information.)
