Do not place scrap metal in your regular recycling receptacle. This can seriously damage equipment in RI's Materials Recycling Facility.

Save scrap metal for an occasional trip to your local scrap metal collection container (contact your city or town to see if you have one) or for a trip directly to a local scrap metal recycler, who will pay you for your metal (consult the phone book to find one).
