With technology changing so quickly, a cell phone can become obsolete after only a few years. Old cell phones are becoming a growing problem for landfill sites. Old cell phones can be donated, refurbished, sold or recycled with proceeds benefiting charities. Cell phones are included in a provincial recycling program and can be dropped off at number of participating retailers for free. Participating retailers include Bell World, The Home Depot, RONA, Staples and London Drugs.
