Cell Phones
About
With technology changing so quickly, a cell phone can become obsolete after only a few years. Old cell phones are becoming a growing problem for landfill sites. Old cell phones can be donated, refurbished, sold or recycled with proceeds benefiting charities. For details on various fundraising programs in your community, please contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline.
Cell phones are included in a provincial recycling program and can be dropped off at number of participating retailers for free. Participating retailers include Bell World, The Home Depot, RONA, Staples and London Drugs. For more detailed information on the recycling program or to find the nearest participating retailer, contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline or visit www.call2recycle.org.
